🌕7 Directions Prayer with Gratitude

(Inspired by the Apache “Prayer to the Seven Directions”)

East

To the East, I offer my gratitude.
For awakening to a new morning,
For choosing, once again, to live this life.

As the sun rose over the red earth of Sedona,
My soul, too, awoke from a long sleep.

South

To the South, I send my prayers.
To the passion, love, and flame of life within me.
For the cycles of birth, nurture, and release — all born from love.

West

To the West, I offer my quiet prayer.
For the strength to accept endings, for the wisdom of letting go.
In the womb-like cave, I learned to release in stillness.

North

To the North, I pray with reverence.
To my ancestors, and soul companions who have guided me.
I thank all the pain and light that shaped who I am now.

Above

To the Above, I release my prayer.
To the rhythm of the Moon, the guidance of the stars, the wisdom of the cosmos.
The night sky in Sedona reminded me: I am part of something far greater.

Below

To the Below, I bow with gratitude.
To the Earth that holds me.
To the Mother who nurtures life even through her own trembling.

Center

And to the Center — to myself.
To the soul that lives within me, to the memories of life, to every wish I’ve carried.
Thank you for choosing to live in trust.

May this life become a light for someone else.

🌈 A Prayer of Gratitude to the Seven Directions (原文)

Inspired by the wisdom of the Apache People, with deep reverence and love.

✨ To the Spirit of the East

Great Spirit,
To the East, where the sun rises every morning—
The direction of Spring, of new beginnings and birth—
we offer our gratitude.

Our physical bodies renew themselves each day,
and we, too, are not who we were yesterday,
nor who we will be tomorrow.

May we remember that every single day is a new step in life.
Guide us to welcome every encounter, every event,
with fresh eyes and an open heart.

And when we stand at the edge of something new,
grant us the courage to take that first step.

To the East,
where new energy enters life,
we give thanks.
Thank you.

✨ To the Spirit of the South

To the South, where the sun reaches its highest point—
The direction of Summer, of rising life force,
and of rekindling our inner passion—
we offer our gratitude.

Each of us has been gifted with unique talents.
Guide us to let these gifts shine brightly,
to ignite our passions,
and to contribute our best to the world with sincerity and love.

And when we lose sight of our passion,
help us remember the gifts we’ve been given,
and in that remembrance,
help us find our fire once again.

To the South,
where life force grows strong and passions are awakened,
we give thanks.
Thank you.

✨ To the Spirit of the West

To the West, where the sun sets—
The direction of Autumn, of reflection and harvest—
we offer our gratitude.

Life brings us many gifts,
not only joy and ease,
but also pain, hardship, and sorrow.

Help us to receive all experiences not with blame,
but as lessons our soul has chosen to grow.
Let us look inward deeply,
and harvest wisdom from all that life offers.

We give thanks for every encounter and blessing of the past,
every connection yet to come,
and all the gifts of this very moment.

To the West,
where we harvest life’s lessons,
we give thanks.
Thank you.

✨ To the Spirit of the North

To the North, where we take the broadest view—
The direction of Winter, of our ancestors,
of the spirit realm, and of life’s purpose—
we offer our gratitude.

From the spirit world, we chose to be born into this body,
to live out our gifts and gather learning through our experiences.
Through it all, may we integrate our soul’s journey
and discover our true calling.

Like the eagle soaring high,
help us rise and view life with wide vision,
so we may find, step by step, the path we are meant to walk.

To the North,
where we connect with our ancestors and our mission,
we give thanks.
Thank you.

✨ To Father Sky

To Father Sky,
who showers us with celestial blessings each day—
We give thanks for the sun, the moon, the stars,
for the blue sky, the clouds, the rain, the snow, and the rainbow.

Even when dark clouds gather,
may we remember that beyond them,
there is always the light of hope.

And we give thanks
for the miracle of being born into this abundant Earth.

To the infinite love of Father Sky,
we give thanks.
Thank you.

✨ To Mother Earth

To Mother Earth,
who gives us everything we need, unconditionally—
We offer deep gratitude.

Though humankind has only recently arrived on this planet,
in just the last century,
we have extracted fossil fuels and minerals,
built terrible weapons, polluted the earth, air, and water,
and manipulated life itself.

Yet the Indigenous peoples taught us
to live with the awareness of seven generations ahead.
Let us remember we are supported by the love of seven generations past,
and awaken to our own power to protect and restore the beauty of the Earth
for the generations yet to come.

Guide each of us to act, in whatever ways we can,
from wherever we are,
with care for this sacred planet.

To the unconditional love of Mother Earth,
we give thanks.
Thank you.

✨ To the Sacred Life Within Me

We are alive in these bodies
because our parents met,
and their parents before them—
a line of miraculous encounters.

Let us give thanks to all our ancestors,
to all the spirits who have walked before us.

Though the soul’s journey is eternal,
this moment in this body is unique.
This life is a precious gift,
never to be repeated.

May we remember:
Each of us is a living miracle of this great universe.

Let us love our life,
respect it, enjoy it, and be proud of it.
In doing so,
we express our gratitude for the life we’ve been given.

And by cherishing our own life,
we offer gratitude for all life.

To this body that supports our soul’s journey,
to the life we’ve been given—
Thank you.
